 MTI Book StoreMTI Book Store General Information Manatee Technical Institute Book Stores are owned and operated by the School District of Manatee County. The Book Store staff strives to provide a variety of quality products at reasonable prices in a friendly, customer-service-oriented environment. All proceeds from the MTI Book Stores are used to support MTI programs, services, and facilities. We are fully aware there are other sources available for purchasing course materials. However, students who attend MTI are the sole reason for our existence; we thank you for choosing MTI as your training partner and the MTI Book Stores for your program supplies. Our goal is to provide the required course materials needed when they are needed. These materials include new and used textbooks, customized books for particular programs (CJA), e-books or e-access, study materials, and supplies at the best price possible . Please note, that all textbooks are selected by each program director and/or instructors who teach the course. As the departments and instructors submit their requests in the form of requisitions, the BookStore orders those specific textbooks that were requested for your program . Thank you in advance for your patience as we strive to serve you. Used and New Books at the MTI Book Stores At this time, the MTI BookStores are unable to process book orders online. Used books are indicated by the letter “U” or “BB” in front of the ISBN on the Book Store's portion of the MTI web site. Used books offer a substantial savings to you and/or your sponsoring agency. You are encouraged to take advantage of these savings. However, used books are not always available, so please be prepared to pay full price when you come to the BookStore. For books that are listed as “Call,” please contact the program secretary for information. These books are not available at the MTI Book Stores. Prices * that are listed as TBD indicate that current pricing information is not available at this time. *Prices are subject to change without notice. Particularly during registration periods, book shipments are received on a daily basis and prices change often. We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information on the BookStore portion of the MTI web site. You will be charged the correct price of the item on the day of purchase.
