Welcome

You must apply in person at either the main campus administration building, or the east campus, (depending on where the program is located) for all career preparation and continuing education programs. To qualify for career preparation programs, you must take The Test of Adult Basic Education(TABE) for enrollment in career prep programs. You must see the career counselor for the program in which you are interested. Some courses have an age requirement.

Please bring a florida drivers license or voters identification card to registration as documentation or proof of Florida residency. Fees are calculated according to Florida or non-Florida residency.

Adults pay tuition and lab fees, as well as purchase books, uniforms, safety equipment, and tools as required. Students pay on a per quarter basis for most career preparation programs. Manatee County high school students are exempt from paying tuition but must pay lab fees. The Florida legislature established the tuition for post secondary centers on an annual basis. For more information on tuition please contact the appropriate counselor.

MTI is approved for veterans training. Federal, State, and Local financial aid is available to students who qualify.

Tuition is refundable if a student withdrawals within five calendar days(excluding holidays and weekends,) of entering a program. Lab fees and books are non-refundable. Lab fees and attrition are refundable for classes that do not meet enrollment requirements.

Certificates are awarded upon completion. In some programs, students must pass state or national exams. Please see a career counselor for more information.
