This 250-hour course equips students with
knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to
be a team member of the emergency medical
services team. Successful completion qualifies
students for the Florida EMT-Basic certification.
First Responder is no longer required for EMT.

Paramedic 1100 hours
Course No. W170206
Prerequisite: State certification as an EMT with 250 hours of documented clinical
experience as an EMT.
Paramedic is approved by the Florida Department of Health, bureau of EMS and accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Education Programs for the Emergency medical Service Professions.
This 1100-hour program adheres to the curriculum standards established by Department of Transportation, and the Florida Department of Education. The program provides the knowledge base and minimum skill necessary for an entry level position as a Florida Paramedic.
Class size limited to 24.
