Optometric Assisting - 1080 hours

Course No.  H170704

Basic Healthcare Worker - 90 hrs
Optometric Assistant - 990 hrs

Graduates of this program are given entrylevel
skills to assist in performing tests to determine defects in vision, preparing and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses, and administering corrective eye exercises and other treatments under the supervision of a person licensed under Florida Statutes.

Optometric assistants may take the registration examination offered by the National Paraoptometric Registry.
