TO OUR WEB WONDER WORKS LAB – the Web Design Class at MTI

About the course:
Manatee Technical Institute started our Web Design Course in 2001. In this short period of time 9 students have earned WEB DESIGNER certification; and a number of students earned INTERNET/INTRANET SPECIALIST certification. Two students (secondary and postsecondary students) received gold medals from the State SkillsUSA VICA competition on Web Design. One postsecondary student took second place.

During the course students develop a number of web sites for small and medium size businesses, working in a real world environment, often working in teams. Six students have already chosen Web Design or other areas of Information Technology as their career and are working in this field. In 2003 we start Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) training and certification at MTI.

Program Vision:
To become recognized among career and vocational institutions as a training center in Web Design that would be capable of utilizing ever evolving technologies and providing essential skills for securing job position in the 21 st century workforce .
