This program covers networking with routers, LAN, WAN, and telecommunications routing technology. To complete all program competencies requires 4 quarters.

A+ Certification and Preparation
This course
covers understanding how the various parts of
the PC work (CPU, motherboard, hard drive,
memory, power supply, video, monitor, printers
and accessories), as well as assembly,
disassembly, configuration and maintenance.
Also covered are the basics of Windows
operating systems, as well as the installation
and configuration of each one. A textbook is
required. Independent study is required to
pass certification testing.

This course prepares the student for Network+
certification. The course covers the design,
setup and troubleshooting of networks.
Networking protocols, media, security,
connectivity, operating systems and fault
tolerance are also discussed. A textbook is
required. Offered in Summer only.

Windows XP Professional prepares one for
Microsoft’s MCP exam 70-270. Course covers
installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
of Windows XP in a LAN environment.

This course prepares student for
Microsoft’s MCP exam 70-290. The course
covers installation, maintenance and
troubleshooting of Windows 2003 Server and
Active Directory in a networked environment.
