Commercial Electrician – 450 Hours

This hands-on program covers use of tools, Ohms Law, blueprint reading, NEC (National Electric Code), DC and AC, circuits, basic safety, construction site etiquette, conduit bending, residential and light commercial "rough in/trim out" of wiring.

Program Mission Statement: The mission of the Electricity Program is to insure our students will be well prepared to enter the local work force in well paying entry-level electrical trade positions through acquisition of skills and understanding in competency-based hands-on and classroom instruction, staff leadership and individual constructive student evaluation. The program focuses on transferable skills and stresses the importance of total preparation of the individual to enter the work force, including professional and personal work ethics issues, minimum demonstrable skill levels, personal and electrical safety and hand-on experience in the trade while in controlled classroom setting.
