Is a career as an electronics technician right for me?

Electronics technicians are people who have a natural interest in how things work. They're good at taking things apart and putting them back together again.

  • Do you enjoy working with your hands?
  • Do you have an aptitude for math and science?
  • Are you mechanically inclined with a natural aptitude for work with technical requirements?

This program will prepare you to enter ito the job market as an Electronics Technician in various areas. Heavy emphasis is on the practical hands-on technology; circuit building, troubleshooting, test and measurements and repair. This applied practice complements the theory that is well covered in the lecture component of the course. Students use precision test equipment for analyzing, troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuitry.

Job opportunities abound in the electronics technology field. Graduates of MTI's electronics technology program pursue rewarding careers, working with entertainment, commerical, industrial, and medical diagnostic equipment. You'll perform job roles ranging from Electronics Technician and Field Service Technician to Manufacturing Technician.
