This program prepares students for employment or advanced training in a variety of construction electrical industries. This program stresses the understanding of all aspects of the electricity industry, and demonstrates such elements of the industry as planning, management, finance, technical and production skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues, and health, safety, and environmental issues.

Program Mission Statement: The mission of the Electricity Program is to insure our students will be well prepared to enter the local work force in well paying entry-level electrical trade positions through acquisition of skills and understanding in competency-based hands-on and classroom instruction, staff leadership and individual constructive student evaluation. The program focuses on transferable skills and stresses the importance of total preparation of the individual to enter the work force, including professional and personal work ethics issues, minimum demonstrable skill levels, personal and electrical safety and hand-on experience in the trade while in controlled classroom setting.
