This program focuses on broad, transferable skills, stresses understanding of all aspects of the pipe industry, with a focus on Fire Sprinkler Systems. This hands-on program includes safety and knowledge of fire protection, pipe-trade-related math, reading and interpreting fire-sprinkler blueprints and job specifications, pipe-trade codes, pipejoining skills, underground installation, repairing, servicing, maintaining fire-sprinkler systems, installation of a wet system, a dry system, preaction and deluge systems, as well as combining dry-pipe and preaction systems, an antifreeze system, and a standpipe system. Prepares students for NCCER Certification. Requires 15 enrolled students to run this class.
