LAW ENFORCEMENT ACADEMY


Law Enforcement Basic Recruit - 770 hours

Course No.P430105 (CJSTC/FDLE #002)

Law enforcement cadets will be trained in firearm proficiency, defensive driving, defensive tactics, first responder, and academic areas of criminal justice. Applicants must meet the following criteria: 19 years of age, US citizen, HS diploma/GED, good moral character, no felony convictions, no misdemeanor convictions involving false statements or spouse battery, good physical condition, and successful completion of the F-BAT. Successful completion of the program makes one eligible to take the State Certified Examination for Law Enforcement, the required test to become a certified law enforcement officer in the state of Florida.

Law Enforcement Cross-Over from Corrections

Cross-over training gives corrections officers the training they need to become law enforcement officers. Minimum of 12 students for class to be held.

The purpose of this program is to train applicants for employment or appointment by criminal justice agencies to assist or aid full-time or part-time officers. Shift-friendly class: A, B, or C. Minimum of 15 students for class to be held.
