Academy of Hospitality, Travel and Tourism - 600 hours
Travel Sales Representative – 300 Hours
Airline Sales Reservationist – 150 Hours
Outside Sales Representative – 150 Hours
This program prepares students for entry-level employment in the travel industry, earning a Travel Agent Proficiency (TAP) certificate recognized by ASTA, TI and CLIA. Immediate employment is possible as a domestic, international or corporate Travel Consultant, Airline Reservationist, or TicketAgent, Hotel Reservationist, Car Rental Agent, Tour Director, Cruise Line Reservationist or Sales Representative and Tour Company Reservationist or Sales Representative. Travel Writing, Photography and Meeting Planning careers are all enhanced by the content of this program.
Hospitality is the fastest-growing industry in the USA and is facing a shortage of trained managers. Students will cover units of instruction on lodging management, front office responsibilities, housekeeping, leadership, marketing, sales and food service. This preparation will allow students to enter the hospitality industry upon graduation or pursue post-secondary training in business management, the restaurant industry and finance.
