Creative Photography, Pure & Simple  6 sessions

Creative imaging hinges on shutter speed and f-stop control! Learn stop action and panning techniques for exciting sports photography. Discover how to use long exposures to capture fireworks, lightning and abstracts. Your lens has X-ray vision, learn how diffusion eliminates foreground and background information for maximum impact or how to include it all!  We'll explore filters, flash & digital concepts & media. This workshop will give you the confidence to take control of your

Digital- SLR or SLR film camera!

Creative Photography Two! 5 sessions

Further exploration of the creative D-SLR (cameras w/ interchangeable lenses) menu choices including the black & white and sepia modes, in camera filters, setting parameters, metering & exposure compensations. The first of two field trips will be shooting landscapes & flowers with emphasis on composition, fractional & close up shooting, filters, reflectors and flash. Next, a fun and unorthodox night time field trip making long exposures of city streets, ally ways and a model, while we ghost, trace and creatively light her/him. We close the evening creating blurred abstracts and shooting a dazzling display of fireworks (a sparkler?!) A “how to” for capturing lightning. Participants must have a tripod! (This workshop requires a live model and there will be an additional $10 from each participant for their services.)
